Dr. Summer Knight is an innovation catalyst expert successfully founding, rapidly scaling and profitably selling companies in health, IT, education, and real estate. She is an experienced Fortune 200 National Medical Executive focused on Innovation. She is a founding board member of StartUp America PA. Dr. Knight is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Springboard Enterprises, a Venture Catalyst and virtual accelerator for high-growth Women entrepreneurs collectively having raised nearly $6 billion in equity financing. Dr. Knight served as the former Chief Medical Officer of the State of Florida and influenced Medicaid policy, health care facility regulations and stakeholder interactions. From this experience, she founded IntegriCor, LLC, transforming the Medicaid marketplace by rewarding providers for improving health care quality and increasing stakeholder communication while eliminating fraud. This marketplace shift became the leading platform for long-term care integration in several states and managed care markets. She founded the State Government Physician Leadership Council and was appointed by the Governor of Florida to several Health and Wellness Committees and Boards. Dr. Knight received her M.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her MBA from Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida. She has gained valuable medical experience as a family physician, urgent care and Emergency Room physician, and as a firefighter/ paramedic. Dr. Summer Knight is passionate about helping people to find their "inner entrepreneur" and their HERO within to live their very best life. She developed the Innovation Hero Program™ as a way to tap into the power of remapping the brain and building a Strategic Life Plan which she leverages as part of the Innovation Quotient™. Dr. Knight is also very active in philanthropic and community affairs serving as a college Trustee, a member of a community Leadership organization, founding member of the Oasis Center for Women and Girls, board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Advisory Committee of Tallahassee Community College's Fostering Achievement Fellowship Program. She also has served on the boards of the Florida Dialogue on Cancer Access Committee, the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at Capital Health Plan, and both the Quality Practice Management Committee and the Governmental Affairs Committee with the Florida Academy of Family Physicians.
