BELLE Capital USA Method

BELLE Capital USA focuses on early stage businesses in four sectors:

  • IT (Mobile/Internet/Business Software)
  • Digital Health (Life Sciences/Medical Devices/Health IT)
  • Technology-enabled products and services
  • CleanTech

We look for companies with $1 million or more in revenues, capable of reaching $20 million or more within 3-5 years. Special consideration will be given to companies requiring relatively small amounts of capital to achieve sustainability.

We prefer to lead or co-lead Series A preferred rounds. We generally invest $100k to $1.5 million in tranches against achievement of milestones. We reserve up to 25% of committed capital for follow-on investments. We help syndicate Series A rounds and help our portfolio companies raise follow-on capital from angel, venture and strategic investors. We generally require a Board seat as a condition of investment. BELLE Capital USA employs a clearly defined set of investment criteria and a streamlined decision-making process. Unlike angel groups or networks, we herd our own cats so entrepreneurs don't have to.
