Carolyn Cassin

Ms Cassin is a co-founder & co-Manager of , BELLE Capital Management, LLC, the General Partner. Ms. Cassin
is the president and chief executive officer of the Michigan Women’s
Foundation, a Michigan non-profit corporation, which has been championing
the causes of social justice for women and girls through public and
private education, philanthropy and advocacy for over 20 years. In
addition, she is president and chief executive officer of National
Hospice Work Group, a CEO think tank for executives of the largest
Hospices in the US. Prior to joining the Michigan Women’s Foundation,
Ms. Cassin was a nationally recognized healthcare executive and turnaround
specialist for almost 30 years. In 1988, after two years as chief
executive officer of Hospice of Southeastern Michigan, she retired
their debt and maintained profitability throughout her tenure, growing
the company over 10 years to over $50 million in revenues and 1,000
employees, with seventeen sites which ultimately earned Hospice of
Michigan the award of “Best Managed Non Profit” by Crain’s Detroit.
In 1998 she was recruited to VistaCare, a venture capital backed
national hospice company, based in Phoenix, Arizona. As VistaCare’s
Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Cassin merged 48 sites into one company
and built the company from $3 million in revenues to $100 million
and positive EBITDA. Most recently, Ms. Cassin served as chief executive
officer of Continuum Health Partner’s New York City Hospice program,
building it into the largest hospice in New York City with revenues
of over $50 million. Ms. Cassin has received numerous national awards
from the first National Hospice Organization’s Heart of Hospice Award,
to the Founders Award from that same organization. She has served
as President of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization
and on its Board. Most recently she was named a “Woman to Watch”
by Crain’s Detroit Magazine in 2009.
